in recognition of motherhood
motherhood is one of the most complicated transitions one can go through.
it’s hard if you are struggling to conceive, it’s hard if you’ve lost your mom, it’s hard if you are a mom in a global pandemic, it’s hard if you are a mom not in a global pandemic, it’s hard if you have a child with heightened needs, it’s hard if you don’t want to be a mom and have to constantly answer the “why”, etc etc on and on forever and forever.
in a way, talking about bringing life or taking care of life in this world is just intense no matter where you are in that journey. something that helps is writing about it. it helped me when i was in the heat of post partum anxiety (still here btw) and i really do think that getting these feelings (whatever they are) onto paper can help and does help.
